Dust Cloth
Nesrin and Hatun, two Kurdish women who clean houses in Istanbul, are friends and neighbours. While Nesrin, left by her husband, struggles to support her daughter, Hatun saves to buy a flat in the district where they work; when Nesrin turns to her in desperation, their friendship is put to the test. Ahu Öztürk’s debut was shown in the 2016 Berlinale Forum and won three awards at the Istanbul Film Festival, including best film.
