A journalist posing as an engineer arrives in a Kurdish village to document the mourning rituals expected for a dying old woman. She does not die, and the journalist is forced to slow down and take in village life. Kiarostami’s film, named after a poem by Forough Farrokhzad, won the Silver Lion Grand Special Jury Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize at Venice.
